.: About the VRC
The VRC is focused on empowerment of the victims as well as providing a resource for legal, financial and emotional assistance. We are dedicated to providing counseling and assistance to those who have been victims of Internet fraud, primarily Romance Scams.
The Victim Resource Center was developed to assist those who are faced with severe financial damage, legal assistance to defendants, emotional support and public awareness. A key part of the VRC is the Enforcement and Interference Team.
This group of civilians will establish contact with the criminals in order to gain vital information to be turned over to the authorities. Each member oversees new volunteers to aide in the influx of new victims as well continue to research the changes in the scammers behaviors and tactics.
The bulk of the Board Members have been involved with this group since its inception in June of 2005 and have realized the much needed demand for additional support to victims of this type of crime.
The only weapon against this crime is education. |
